Australia Post Shop Tour
Have you seen POST SHOP in your city? It is retail business owned by POS Indonesia in collaboration with Indomaret or Circle-K. In Jakarta POST Shop is operated by Indomaret but I read an article that in Denpasar is by Circle-K.
On my last trip to Australia, I also saw many Australia POST SHOP. I decided to send myself postcards just want to know how long does it take to arrive at my door. I went to a shopping mall in Surfer's Paradise and saw Post Office in the direction sign. Unfortunately it was closed because it was Sunday. On next Tuesday, I wanted to go shop at Q Super Centre, it is a shopping area. But then I saw Post Shop there so I went there first.
Australia Post Shop is different with POS Indonesia's Post Shop. While in Indonesia Post Shop is a minimarket, Australia Post Shop is more like 'small department store' where you can find products ranging from snack, envelope, to smartphone, but you can also send your letters and packages. I even bought camera (5 dollar toy camera sih) and a cute notebook there.
I bought two stamps for AUD3.7 (about IDR40K). Expensive. I can send five postcards to USA from Indonesia with IDR40K! Already two weeks and my postcards haven't arrived yet.
Now the tour! Take a look!
Cards!
Children book and stuff.
They have different colors of envelope for posting overseas of within Australia.
TimTam! Unfortunately not the Adriano Zumbo one and the CDs! OMG Grease!
Books.
Candies.
Mailbox in the front of the shop.
Calculator, printer ink, notebook, etcetera.
I've never heard Galaxy Trend and Galaxy Pocket before.
A bit envy Australia post office why so great! Yesterday I went to near post office and it is very dirty, shabby, oh my God. I want to see POS Indonesia's improvement and hoping the post office can be nice as in Australia.
Next time I'll show you Kantor Filateli Jakarta where I always buy stamps and show you how to make your own selfie stamps, you can use them to send letters/cards of course!
